About Iron Mountain Foundry, LLC

Iron Mountain Foundry was named after the original pioneer endeavor of the first iron smelter west of the Rocky Mountains. It was also named for the modern, innovative approach to software development embodied in the Open Source Initiative and promoted by SourceForge.net.

Iron Mountain Foundry expands on the pioneering spirit of innovation and resourcefulness by providing Open Source Software solutions to businesses in the Pacific Northwest.

"Iron smelting in the nineteenth century was the most technologically intensive enterprise undertaken by American business. Accordingly, building a smelter operation in frontier Oregon signalled a principal upward shift in the economic picture of the state."
